Estimate and Invoice Transparency Settings
The Estimate and Invoice Transparency Settings allow you to customize which details customers see on estimates and invoices by adjusting options in the Shop Settings under the Estimates/Invoices tab, with separate controls for invoices and estimates, the ability to modify settings for individual repair orders, and the option to save these preferences for consistent customer-facing documents.
Transparency settings give you control over what data does or doesn't show up on customer facing estimates and invoices.
- 1.Click the Shop Settings section on the bottom of the left menu bar.
- 2.Click the 5th tab, Estimates/Invoices.
- 3.In the Estimate & Invoice Details table, you control what your customers see on the invoices & estimates, and your Terms of Service.
- 4.Click into the Transparency Settings section to set up your invoice and estimate settings. Here you can select what details you'd like your customers to see on the invoice and/or estimate.
- 5.Once you finalize your transparency settings, click Save Settings.
Important Notes
- 1.The transparency settings for invoices can be different from the transparency settings of estimates; it's up to you!
- 2.Sometimes you might need to change your transparency settings for warranty situations. You can adjust transparency settings for one-off situations from within the individual repair order without changing your shop-wide transparency settings. To do this, click the printer icon on the top right corner from within the repair order, then click Transparency.
